Október 6.
Mire emlékezünk október 6-án Magyarországon? A magyar történelem tele van szomorú eseményekkel, és ez is ilyen. 1848-ban és 1849-ben Magyarországon forradalom volt. Az ország ekkor a Habsburg Birodalom része volt, és a magyarok függetlenek akartak lenni. Ez azonban sajnos nem sikerült. A forradalom után, 1849. október 6-án Aradon kivégeztek 13 magyar tábornokot, ők az aradi vértanúk. Rájuk emlékezünk október 6-án. |

What do we commemorate on 6th of October? Hungarian history is full of sad events, and this is one of them. There was a revolution in 1848 and 1849 in Hungary. The country was part of the Austrian Empire at that time, and Hungarians wanted to be independent. They didn't succeed, unfortunately. After the revolution, 13 Hungarian generals were executed in 6th October, 1849, in Arad, they are called the martyrs of Arad. We commemorate them on 6th October. |
